I began making sculptures because I wanted to capture the moment that I couldn’t portray in a photograph.
I am consistently attracted to steel’s inherent strength. My work focuses on the challenge of breaking down the rigid material by molding it to softer forms. Today, my collection of work drives a visible paradox of organic movement and geometric forms. It displays a spectrum of opposites that are simultaneously unified.
I am currently based in Missouri, United States and work throughout the country. My current work focuses on the capturing organic movement in steel. My work, whether with steel, wood, or other mediums, has always been about capturing a moment in flux.
